Keyboard Character Repeat Not Working
On my windows computer, I noticed my characters would not repeat after holding down a key on my keyboard to test the character repeat rate.
Scenario
Typing in a code editor or notepad, while holding down a key on the keyboard, only one character is typed instead of repeating the character a bunch of times until the key is no longer being held down.
To test:
- Press Windows key
- Type “keyboard”
- Select the “Keyboard” option
- Find the box in the middle that reads: “Click here and hold down a key to test repeat rate:”
- Type in the box to test if your keyboard character repeat is working
